  2. Isn't it wonderful how slowly things fall in comics? They've had a whole conversation about that falling hanky, and it's only about 6 inches closer to the ground than it was when it started.

Also, is it just me, or is Superman "rescuing" that hanky at the expense of stopping a tornado?

  3. I don't know about you but I can't wait to turn to the second page following to see if he catches the hanky in time!

  5. David, a tornado that had just swallowed a bus and an armored car. Rich, he catches the hankie, but the tornado grabs his hand and won't let go. This becomes a key plot point in the story, Superman realizes that the tornado is swallowing green things; the bus was green as was the money inside the armored car, and Lois' hankie.

Enjoyed the chat, Aaron; just wish I'd remembered about DST. Thanks for the comment, The Beaty.

  6. A green hankie? Well, I suppose that cuts back on the frequency of washings, but yuck.

I sincerely hope Superman's lack of perspective is a key plot point, otherwise it's pretty hard to accept him leaving a bus and car to their fates for the sake of chivalry.

Really hoping there's a "Tornado...won't...let go...of the hanky!" panel for you to follow this one up with.

    Panel? It made the cover!

It reminds me of the time Homer Simpson got his arm stuck in a vending machine. The medics were about to saw his arm off when it occurred to one of them to suggest that Homer let go of the soda can.
